Initially as free carving in small greywacky beach pebbles, allowing the stone itself to dictate. Sounds like a typical cliche... never the less true. The small pebbles were followed by small jades and progressed to larger, 100 odd lb. <a href="http://www.donnsalt.com/DOCUMENTS/The_Guide.htm" rel="nofollow">andesite companions</a> in the latter '90's. Many of these ET's have emerged into this realm since. This 'Entry Guardian' being the largest to date. A brief word about it <a href="http://unique-sculpture.com/category/stone-sculpture/" rel="nofollow">here</a>. Mentors, Guardians, Guides, Seers from days of futures passed, as the energies suggest. The largest of these in jade is around a 38 to 40 lb. river float carved in '04 and titled 'Voyager'. It was of such presence I made a rubber mold for a limited edition of 25 only in <a href="http://www.donnsalt.com/DOCUMENTS/Bronze_Voyager.html" rel="nofollow">bronze</a>. A quick sequence of carving the andesite is illustrated <a href="http://www.donnsalt.com/DOCUMENTS/DEMO.htm" rel="nofollow">here as well</a>.
